The Morris County Secondary Schools Ice Hockey League, Inc.

Welcome to the MCSSIHL

MCSSIHL News (2/10/2022)    The first night of this year's MCSSIHL Cup Tournament has come and gone with the first half of the Charette Cup semifinals and both Mennen Cup semifinals resolved.  The early game matched the reigning Mennen Cup Champ Mo Beard versus perennial Morris County power, Randolph.  Noah Jones and Hollis Humphries scored two goals apiece and Nathan Jones added one as the Crimson defeated the Rams by a score of 5-1.  Andrew George scored the lone goal for Randolph.

In the second game, Charette Division Season Champs, Bernards/Somerset/Middlesex defeated Morris Catholic/St Elizabeth by a score of 7-0.  Jimmy Hathaway scored a hat trick and Taylor Favreau added two goals as BSM defeated Morris Catholic 7-0.  Their Cup opponent will be decided tomorrow.

In the nightcap  game, Morris Knolls/Hills needed an overtime goal to top Chatham 3-2.  Jack Martinez scored two for the Golden Eagles as they narrowly defeated Chatham setting the Mennen Cup Finals on Valentines Day versus Morristown Beard.

MCSSIHL News (2/8/2022)    The Playoffs are Beginning (see CUPS tab to find our schedule)... Many adjustments have been made in order for our season to be possible.  The playoffs are no exception.  The greatest change has been to limit big crowds from attending our games.  We have altered the order of playoff games to make it inconvenient to stay for the "other" semifinal, so although you may stay, you will need to watch another game in between.  It should still be exciting, and... root for the success of your favorite teams.  GOOD LUCK TO ALL SEMIFINALISTS!!

The 2018-19 Season Has Begun...

Welcome back for another fun filled season of high school hockey.  There is so much to say about changes in our league.  First, we bid goodbye to Pequannock HS who chose to leave the MCSSIHL to co-op with West Milford HS in the Big North League.  Next, Morris Hills HS, one of the first schools in New Jersey to sponsor an ice hockey team has joined with their sister school, Morris Knolls HS to become the Morris Knolls/Hills Co-op.  The word is that Morris Hills will remain as a co-op for one more season after which the program will be dropped.  Third, with the loss of Pequannock and Morris Hills, the Charrette Division has again been merged into the Halvorsen Division.
Stay tuned for more news in the future.  Until then, LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!
